Devonté Hynes in Conversation with Philip Glass

Devonté Hynes in Conversation with Philip Glass

by NPR

This NPR segment with Blood Orange’s Devonté Hynes interviewing legendary experimental composer Philip Glass, is a must see.

Hynes, a 31-year-old British producer and songwriter who performs under the name Blood Orange, invited Glass to his apartment where he and the 80-year-old Baltimore-born New Yorker shared their experiences as musicians living and working in the big apple.

Their hour-and-a-half conversation has been cut to this 6-min short film, which is terrific but definitely leaves me wanting to hear the whole ninety-minute conversation!
