Print Futures Awards 2011

Print Futures Awards 2011

Having been informed about Print Futures Awards drive to raise awareness of their awards programme (to 16-30 year olds who are eligible to enter it), I thought it was worth sharing.
The awards, sponsored by the BPiF, Unite the Union and The Printing Charity, were launched in 2003 to help people fund education or training relevant to building a career in the printing, publishing or graphics professions. Each year, they offer a number of grants of up to £1,500 each, or £750 if your company is already helping to pay for training. It could be anything from helping to fund a BA in Graphic Design to doing a short-course in letterpess or screenprinting.
Applicants basically have to fill in a simple downloadable PDF explaining why they wish to receive a grant and if they are successful, they are shortlisted for interview and then told if they have been awarded a grant. It’s (apparently) a very simple, straightforward process.
For more info, a new website has just launched with all the Ts&Cs
