Miscellaneous Adventures

Andrew Groves has launched his latest side project Miscellaneous Adventures, which serves as a marketplace and gallery for fine, handcrafted wooden spoons and other objects intended for use in the Great Outdoors. Each item is made bz hand from responsibly harvested timber collected from woodland in Sussex and further afield. Relying on traditional techniques, every functional art object is carved from green wood by hand using an axe, knife, crook knife and finally finished with sandpaper and polishing compounds. The wood is then protected from the elements with a mixture of Walnut Oil and Beeswax and painted or decorated with acrylic based aerosols or enamels.
