Lou Vega

Bumped into the editorial work of New Yorker Lou Vega quite accidentally but I love its immediacy. He’s worked on several great publications, mostly as an in-house designer or art-director, currently at Bloomberg Markets Magazine as Senior AD.

Check out his Cargo site to see much more work, and his blog for some great behind-the-scenes and prep work.

I asked Lou to give me some background on his route into design and his answer, like his work, deserves sharing…

“Key moments that led me to the Design: Discovered drawing and drew a rat at age 5 that made my family happy, found some history books on the street at age 10 that I cut out maps from to make my own book. Revelation at age 15 that girls liked artists.”
