Last month we helped launch the Nokia Lumia 820 Design Challenge with a simple aim: What students from three of the world’s most prestigious design schools (Lahti University of Applied Sciences, Finland, Parsons, USA and Central Saint Martins, UK) could accomplish when given a Nokia Lumia 820 shell as a blank canvas for their bright ideas.
The response was great! Hundreds of stunning designs were submitted of which fifteen were shortlisted. Over the last two weeks, the public voted for their top three and we can now reveal the three wining designs.
Third place goes to Density of Our Identity by William Doherty, who is currently studying under the Erasmus exchange program at Lahti University of Applied sciences in Finland.
Second goes to Aist? Jakimavi?i?t? at Lahti for her stunning design, Shaped.
But alas, there can be only one winner, and that honour goes to Marisa Glick at Parsons. With an incredible 12.55% of votes! Her reward? A prestigious paid internship with Nokia in London. Aiste, William and Marisa will also each win a Nokia Lumia 820 with their cover design on it, as well as a trip to Social Media Week in NYC.
Each of their designs will also be created on fifty limited edition Nokia Lumia 820 shells!
