Tweenbots are the result of a great little social experiment by Kacie Kinzer at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York.
The little robots (pictured above) move constantly in a straight line and their goal is to travel the hazard-laden route from an area in the north of the city to the south. These lost, vulnerable little chaps can only make it to their destination if friendly human pedestrians offer a helping, guiding hand.
Will they get there?
Are we ultimately a curious and helpful lot, or an indifferent selfish bunch?
